Will of Mary Estment née Baskerfield

My children are descended from Birds and Baskerfields of Woughton on the Green in Buckinghamshire. They were Blacksmiths and Wheelwrights. The testator's sister, Rebecca Baskerfield, is my children's 6g-grandmother.



The text below is in some places paraphrased or abridged.


I, Mary Estment of Woughton in the County of Bucks Widow Woman...

I give and dispose in the following manner:

To my sister Rebecca Baskerfield, the sum of Ten Pounds

To my sister Martha James, the sum of Four Pounds and my bed and bedding for her use and ??behoof??

To my brother William Baskerfield, Fifteen Pounds and one Gold Ring to his use and ??behoof??

To my three sisters, Susanna Higgins, Rebecca Baskerfield and Martha James, all my wearing apparel to be equally divided between them

To my sister Rebecca Baskerfield, my sister Martha James and my brother William Baskerfield, all my household goods to be equally divided between them, except for my Clock, my great Kettle and my largest Brass Pott

To my brother Thomas Baskerfield, all my dwelling house in which my father Estment now dwells

All my money in pocket, and debts due to me, and my Clock, my great Kettle and my largest Brass Pott previously excepted, to my brother Thomas Baskerfield, who I appoint to be my Sole Executor.
