Will of Joseph BASKERFIELD ???? - 1752

June 20th, 2011 (03:18 pm)

.
I bought this Will with several other random Baskerfield Wills, in the rather unrealistic hope that one of them would mention "my brother Thomas Baskerfield in Woughton on the Green", or some such. To my delight, this one literally did say that!

In the name of God Amen, I Joseph Baskerfield of North Crawley in the County of Bucks Iorn-Smith, being at this time in good and perfect health, praised be God, do make this my last will and testament in manner and form following:

First I give to my brother, Thomas Baskerfield of Wofton on the Green, in the County of Bucks, Iorn-Smith,

A dwelling house and all outward buildings thereto belonging, situate in the parish of Olney in the County of Bucks, which I purchased of William Tapp of Olney in the County of Bucks, now in the occupation of the afoursaid William Tapp, to him and his heirs forever.

Also, I do give to my brother Thomas Baskerfield, all my working tools and iorn, and all my household goods and all my wearing apparel and a shed standing in the street of North Crawley afoursaid, near to my dwelling house.

Also, I do give to my brother Thomas Baskerfield all my ready money and all my debts, defreing my funerall charges and all my debts whomsoever I owe to.

Also I make my brother Thomas Baskerfield my full and sole Executour, of this my last will and testament.

In witness whereto I have set my hand and sail, this twenty first day of January , in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and fourty seven eight, in the presence of Us, who have set our hands as Witnesses.

Joseph Baskerfield
